How do you measure a year?
This has been a rough one for us - loosing Gramma in March, watching my older sister disappear into the deep south, and finally, my sweet hubby losing a job due to trying to HELP someone out the week of Christmas.
On the positive side, we did get to play with a litter of puppies and found excellent homes for ALL of them, I got Little Dona going OK under saddle - I'll feel better when we can have some good solid trail time. My big boy is doing well in school, and my little boy is 100% on his potty training now. So, I guess in the end, with the exception of loosing Gram, it's been an OK year.
I am watching in trepadation as to what this year will bring. The first songs I heard on the first were 'Sweet Emotion' (Aerosmith), 'I won't back down'(Tom Petty), 'NO, You Don't'(NIN) and 'Love you Just the way you are'(Bruno Mars).
Selection of bands aside, interesting message in all 4 of those.
So to those I know, and those I don't, Happy New Year. My hope is that this will be a year of luck, love, optimism, financial gain, and familial & equine induced happiness.
